Overview
If you are looking to be in a position to build a child's dream of
seeing themselves on the big or little screen, and simultaneously
helping them build their self-esteem, look no further! the actor's
garage, an after school and weekend program, gives you the opportunity
to help a child understand that it is their individuality, in itself,
that is their greatest gift. You will have the chance to see shy
children come out of their shells, and children who were once fearful
to speak in public, embrace it! You may even spot the next budding
Julia Roberts or George Clooney in the making!
Products & Services
At the actor's garage, we teach our students acting, with a focus on
commercial and television, starting with the basics: concentration,
relaxation and improvisation. Through these tools, actors learn to be
more self-confident, trusting, outgoing and comfortable in group
situations.
In all of our classes, we teach the actors through positive reinforcement and encouragement. Our hope is that in addition to teaching young actors the basics, we will also help improve their self-esteem and their ability to believe in themselves.
At the last class, a New York City talent agent will come to observe and talk to the actors.

Training & Support
The actor’s garage franchises will get as much support as we can possible give you. if you
succeed, we all succeed. You are never in this alone! Our commitment to you is to be there
for you whenever you need. The actor’s garage will continually explore and develop new ideas, curriculum, and concepts that will help you promote, operate and keep your business up to date. In addition to a complete “hand-holding” process, the following services are provided to all franchisees:

Why The Actor's Garage?
The actor's garage was founded by actress and comedian Ann Gray.
Ann has trained in New York City acting schools such as The Barrow Group, The Gene Frankel Theatre and William Esper Studios. In addition, Ann has taken classes with some of New York City's top casting directors. Through Ann's career she has fostered these relationships and brought them to the actor's garage with her.
Ann has put together a curriculum while working in 18 of her privately owned actor's garage studios' prior to Franchising. Ann's 18 locations are spread across NY, NJ, CT, PA and NC. Her curriculum is based on her experience as a working actress in TV, film and commercials and the wonderful programs she has been a part of. It is her belief that if children are taught to embrace themselves and the gifts they are given, they may become not only an actor but a more enriched individual.
In addition to low, low, start-up costs and overhead, great training, and awesome support, one of our major assets is a lesson plan proven by well over 1,000 children in the past 2 years� and they keep coming back! That's right! In just 2 years, the actor's garage has taught over 1,000 students in Ann's private studios. Each session we have been asked Why? Because simply put, no one else accomplishes what we do! We are the only program to offer TV, film and commercial classes on camera!
