Products & Services
St. Louis Tan Company opened its doors in February 1994 with two average-sized salons. Due to the overwhelming response to the image, training and customer service of the salons, St. Louis Tan Company was able to develop its first superstore salon by the end of 1994.
Additional traffic, sales and profits enabled St. Louis Tan Company to grow to over 15 salons by the end of 2000. The demand for the superstore concept in St. Louis and the surrounding area exploded. In response to high customer traffic counts, growing sales per salon and name recognition in 2001, St. Louis Tan Company chose to expand outside the St. Louis market place. Thus, a new company formed to focus on franchising and franchisee support. St. Louis Tan Company became The TAN Company®.
Currently, The TAN Company has over 65 locations in 11 states with additional locations under development. With Area Development, Multi-Unit and Single-Unit Agreements in place, The TAN Company has over 60 locations committed in 5 additional states.
