Banfield, The Pet Hospital®
was founded in 1955 with a commitment to making human quality medicine
accessible to Pet owners. In our hometown of Portland, Oregon, Banfield
became known for its legendary client service and life saving
veterinary medicine. By the early 1990's, three generations of Pet
owners had come to know and trust the Banfield team, making Banfield
one of the leading private veterinary practices in the nation.
Our practice's reputation for innovative and caring approaches to veterinary healthcare, led to a unique opportunity. PetSmart®, the nation's largest retailer of Pet related products, services and solutions for Pets and their parents, asked us to help bring high quality veterinary care to PetSmart customers by opening Pet hospitals in many store locations.
This partnership fueled the growth of our practice, and continues with the addition of over 80 hospitals a year.
Today our hospitals provide the same medical systems, procedures and client service that made our original hospital a critical part of their neighborhood for half a century. And, we continue to be driven by the same goal that has always inspired us: making life better for families. We do this by giving Pets the same care we want for ourselves, making Pet health affordable, strengthening the value of Pets in families, teaching how better Pet care maximizes lives, and stopping euthanasia by keeping Pets healthy. Put simply, treating your Pet like family.

Training & Support
Your hospital will be in a prime location
You'll be in the position to attract a passionate community of Pet owners. Banfield, The Pet Hospital® is located adjacent to PetSmart® - a store visited by an average of more than 15,000 Pet owners each month.
You'll have practice management and administrative support
We'll take care of the bookkeeping, payroll, benefits administration, technical support, and more. This keeps you free to concentrate on what you do best - delivering quality healthcare to Pets. What's more, your finance team at CTS will prepare reports and statistics for you, to help you make informed practice management decisions.

Your hospital would be equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation, such as a custom designed anesthesia machine (exclusively using Sevoflurane), electrocardiogram, pulse oximeter, tonopens, 300MA radiology and automatic processors. Many hospitals also are equipped with ultrasound and endoscope at the choice of our doctors. So, you'll have the equipment, training and means to perform virtually every procedure - right from day one.
