In 1987, owners Chris and Pat Skodras opened
the first Eggs Up Grill in Cumberland, Rhode Island. After 10 years of
success based on philosophies passed down through a generation of
restaurant owners, they decided to take their concept south and opened
Eggs Up Grill in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. Over time they found
their ingredients for success included a simple menu, quality food,
signature items and an atmosphere of friendship and community. Now,
this established recipe for a restaurant concept is available for a
select number of franchises.

Strategic site selection
Our site selection criteria and research are second to none. We have identified ideal locations based on demographics, geography and competitive presence for Eggs Up Grill restaurants to thrive. The top five regions in terms of eating place sales growth are located in either the South or West.
Empowering IT infrastructure
Most franchise systems lag in their IT investments. As a new enterprise, Eggs Up Grill leverages the latest technology to maximize efficiencies that lead to lower operating cost and better customer experiences. As an Eggs Up Grill franchisee, your entire organization is wired for success.
It starts with the cutting edge ASI Handheld wireless system that allows servers to process customer orders right at the table and managers to monitor the operation. The ASI is the only handheld product to take full advantage of handwriting recognition capabilities, making it as easy to use as pencil and pad, while adding the significant benefit of direct order entry. Server productivity is increased by eliminating double order entry with pad then computer, and manager’s effectiveness is greatly enhanced by having operational information at their fingertips.
Field coaching and support
Franchisers who offer franchisees a complete blueprint for managing and operating a business are growing. We have a proven system in place that leverages economies of scale but allows you to improve processes. This system includes marketing, IT support and operations with produced policy/procedure manuals and a special emphasis on training.
The Eggs Up Grill Training Program is a three-tier comprehensive, informative and hands-on instructional program. The first tier consists of 120-160 hours of practical experience in operating an Eggs Up Grill restaurant in South Carolina. This is followed by a minimum of 72 hours of formal classroom training at the Eggs Up Corporate Coaching Center in Pawleys Island - Litchfield, South Carolina.
Corporate classroom coaching instructs franchisees in the essential elements of running a business, including restaurant operations, accounting, personnel management, cash management, customer relations and marketing.
Upon successful completion of the program, the franchisee will spend an additional 80 hours in a currently operating Eggs Up Grill restaurant to gain hands-on managerial experience. An Eggs Up Grill representative will then assist in the first 2 to 3 days of opening a franchise location.
Proprietary recipes and special ingredients
We keep our customers coming back for more with recipes and dishes they can’t get anywhere else. Our trademarked dishes include recipes for home fries, corned beef hash and egg substitute.

We have employed an experienced management system that considers how the physical environment, staff behaviors and all our processes appeal to a customer’s emotional desires (how they are treated and how we make them feel) as well as their rational ones (quality food, convenient location, value pricing, etc.). This attention to the total experience builds powerful brand loyalty and preference over time.
