Overview
We opened our first 24-hour restaurant in April of 1964. In 1966, we began activelyfranchising. The company now expands primarily through franchising,
but also continues to operate company units. The combined organization
has continued to expand and today encompasses more than 400 units
throughout the traditional South and new development areas opening in
the Mid-Atlantic, Mid-West and the Southwestern United States.
Our growth is fueled by the success of our franchise owners. The steady growth of units has consistently increased the system-wide revenues generated by all Huddle House System restaurants each fiscal year, adding to an already strong foundation of customer support and goodwill associated with the system.

Training & Support

The Huddle House Franchise Development Group is your first contact in your decision to own your own Huddle House restaurant. We will help you make an informed decision about Huddle House. Your Franchise Development Director will be available to serve as an information resource and will provide you with access to experienced judgment of market analysis, site evaluation, construction and engineering services. Also, your Franchise Development Director will be available to assist in purchase and/or lease negotiations for the proposed site. Please Note: Huddle House, Inc. must approve all proposed locations. After the site has been selected, your Franchise Development Director will coordinate with our Construction and Services Department regarding site planning.
Training
Before you open your restaurant, we will schedule a Huddle House Training Program for you. The Huddle House Training Program is seven-week of training in our system. The program involves an innovative combination of classroom explanation and practical work in the training stores. You will be trained in hospitality, service, food preparation, quality, methods of cost control, store security, employee scheduling, customer relations, discussion of sanitation principles, reduction of turnover, interviewing and hiring, maintenance and repair, unit paperwork requirements, budgeting, marketing and advertising. The Huddle House training department will be on hand to help with pre-opening training and any necessary follow-up training of your crew, as well as assistance in the actual opening of the unit to the public. After you open, the Huddle House training department continues to be available to you for scheduling new management personnel into the required training program and is available for limited field training. Our Training Department continually designs and upgrades the training materials that you will find invaluable for new employee training during the ongoing operation of your Huddle House restaurant.

Are You a Good Fit for Huddle House?

- Single Restaurant Development: We award franchises in select markets to qualified individuals, corporations and partnerships at a single specific location to use our trademarks, service marks and proprietary operating systems.
- Market Development Agreements: If you have the financial capabilities and the experience, we will consider a Market Development Agreement for new franchisees entering the system. A Market Development Agreement would grant you an exclusive territory within which to develop and operate multiple Huddle House restaurants over a specified period of time.
How to build your restaurants - Two Options
- Own your own real estate: If you have the resources, we encourage our franchisees to own their own real estate. You can build a Huddle House on land you already own, or identify and buy your own piece of land. You can be your own landlord. We have many lenders that are interested in financing new Huddle House restaurants. If you qualify for SBA financing, we have lenders that will finance 80% of the total cost of your investment including the franchise fee and working capital.
- Build to Suit: If you have a lot of experience but little cash, you can use our Build to Suit format and be a franchisee for as little as $76,000 in liquidity.
