Overview
For many of our hard-working customers, we offer a way to own a reliable vehicle to get them to their jobs, and a way they can advance in life. That’s our specialty! We match people who need help getting financing with cars that fit their needs and budgets. And then we help keep them on the road with expert servicing. We offer trust. We treat our customers with dignity and respect, and we thoroughly explain the terms of the sale. We offer a modern, professional, and sophisticated dealership, backed by our more than 18 years of experience in the industry.
In every way, we offer service. Our customers have had difficulty qualifying for credit, and we don’t underserve them because of it. We know their past, but we believe in their future. Fortunately, we have satisfied customers across the country.
Products & Services
At J.D. Byrider, our mission is to provide a program that exceeds the customers’ expectations and maximizes their opportunity for advancement. To satisfy our founder’s vision, we must have satisfied customers. To accomplish that goal, we will build a national chain of used car dealerships that consistently deliver dependable cars and provide affordable financing in a friendly and professional atmosphere. Within that atmosphere, we will maintain the highest regard for every customer, and we will practice honesty and integrity in everything we say and do.

- Our franchise partners are provided with the tools they need to focus on the business of generating car sales and a quality portfolio of retail installment contracts.
- Business Planning—Our experienced staff is available for forecast modeling, business plans, trend analysis, and assistance in obtaining bank credit lines.
- Training—Franchisees learn everything they need to succeed through online Byrider University classes, our E-Byrider Intranet, regional workshops, and more.

Like everyone else, our customers expect quality, whether it’s in reliable vehicles, expert servicing, or affordable financing. Unlike anyone else, J.D. Byrider delivers all three. Our offerings reflect the respect we have for our hard-working customers.
Vehicles—We use our exclusive Byrider AutoTech Advantage database to identify the most reliable vehicles. Then our specialists go out carrying a fine-toothed comb, because we buy only the best from our targeted model years. Back at the shop, we put each vehicle through a demanding inspection, making sure it meets our comprehensive inspection standards. On average, we spend another $1,100 to ensure the car meets those standards. Finally, each car can be checked with either CARFAX® or EXPERIAN® to confirm that its title is not branded.
Servicing—After the sale, we provide expert service exclusively for our customers. It just makes good business sense for us to keep the customer happy, rolling, and continuing to make payments on time. Most of our servicing is provided at either no cost or at our cost. Those modern service bays are not a separate profit center—they’re another satisfaction center.
Financing—We’re not just looking for a transaction. We want a relationship. We provide our customers with a high-value piece of merchandise, possibly the single most expensive item they own. For our relationship to be win-win, it needs to work. So we work with our customers to find the best vehicle for their needs, and the best one for their budget. Selling a car that our customers can’t afford does no good at all. We don’t underserve customers because of a credit challenge. Credit card debt, divorce, loss of a job, or a variety of common situations can easily lead to a damaged credit rating for consumers.
We strive to accommodate each customer, but not everyone qualifies for financing. For those that do, we can help get them moving, back on the road…advancing.

We want franchisees who are already successful business men and women. The typical liquid, non-borrowed cash resources required for a single dealership range from $500,000 to $1,000,000. Actual initial investment needed will likely be higher and will vary depending on location and other factors.
We seek franchisees in selected markets who meet the following minimum characteristics:
- The motivation and passion to operate a customer-service business that exceeds the customer’s expectations
- Knowledge of local real estate and market conditions
- Residence within the dealership territory
