Products & Services
Johnny’s Pizza was originally started in 1965 by Johnny Pace in Manlius N.Y.
Bruce Jackson went to work at the pizzeria at the age of sixteen. In
1971 at the age of nineteen Jackson went into business with Johnny’s
younger brother Rosario in a small pizzeria just off the Syracuse
University campus also named Johnny's Pizza. Jackson and Pace enjoyed
great success at this location for six years. This location is still in
operation today. In 1977 Bruce Jackson and new partner Scott Allen
moved to Atlanta Georgia to start a Johnny's Pizza location there.
In the spring of 1977 Bruce and Scott opened their first store in Forest Park Georgia. After a year of business in that location they decided to move the restaurant to Virginia Avenue in East Point Georgia across the street from Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. The new location proved to be a huge success and just over one year later a second store on Cheshire Bridge Road was opened. Between 1984 and 1994 four more locations were opened in the Atlanta area.
In 1994 Bruce and Scott started to work on a new company called Johnny's Pizza Franchise Systems, Inc.. In the past 13 years Johnny's Pizza has grown to 65 restaurants, with 10 scheduled to open in the year 2008.
In 2003 Bruce and Scott opened a affiliate company- Johnny Brusco's New York Style Pizza -for doing business outside the state of Georgia. This company has 9 locations now, and will soon open many more.
Johnny Brusco's Pizza is now open in Dallas Texas(2 Locations), Memphis(5 locations),& Johnson City(1), and Kingsport(1), Tennessee. Johnny’s has plans to develop these markets and also Charlotte & Greensboro, North Carolina and Greenville, South Carolina in the near future.
