Overview
The first Pizza Patrón store was opened on April 16th, 1986. It was in
the Pleasant Grove section of Dallas, Texas. Although the store has
moved one block since then, it is still open and serving great pizzas
every single day. The success of that very first Pizza Patrón store led
to another one two years later and then a third shortly after that.
Over the years, the look of our logo and the lobby of our stores have changed a little, but our passion and commitment remain the same. The Pizza Patrón family is still growing.

Products & Services
The pizza business is competitive, to say the least. It seems you can
buy a pizza on every corner. Having just a good pizza is not good
enough. That is why we work hard at every Pizza Patrón location to have
GREAT pizza every time you visit.
If you want to make really great pizza, you have to start at the bottom. That means making excellent pizza dough. Pizza Patrón has a unique way of handling this. We make it FRESH in the pizza store. Not once a week or even once a day. We make our pizza in small batches all evening long. We never add preservatives. We make and use the dough the same day.
Pizza Patrón uses the best flour available. Only hi-gluten flour with elevated protein levels will do. Purified water and other key ingredients are combined together to make each batch. The dough is then weighed and divided into smaller pieces.
How the dough is handled from this point makes a big difference in the quality of the finished pizza. Our pizza crust is light and airy with just the right amount of bite. We think the secret is the way we proof the dough. Too often, pizzerias try to hurry the proofing process. This is a big mistake. There is no substitute for time when handling fresh dough. You cannot rush the natural process of the yeast. Also, you cannot combine proofing and baking into just one step. If you do, the result will be dough that is gummy in the middle, and the wonderful flavor of fresh pizza dough will not be fully developed.
The second part of making a great pizza has got to be the sauce. It has to be seasoned just right, not too spicy but still full of flavor. It’s important to let the great flavor of fresh tomatoes come through. Not just any tomato, however. We use only the wonderful Roma tomato. Our tomatoes come from only one place. That place is Stanislaus County in Northern California. The climate and the soil are perfect for growing this delicious fruit. For six weeks at the end of the summer, the tomatoes are harvested. Great care is taken to ensure that the tomatoes are handled properly.
As each truckload arrives from the field, it is tested. One of the things that is measured is the citric acid content of every batch. Then the tomatoes are combined with others that will ensure a perfect balance of natural tomato flavor. We never dehydrate before packing. That’s why we say our tomatoes are “fresh packed.”
After the tomatoes arrive at Pizza Patrón, we combine them with our proprietary recipe of spices and herbs. But hold on, it’s not ready yet. We wait and let the flavors of fresh Roma tomatoes and rich spices marry into a wonderful pizza sauce. Now it’s ready to make a Pizza Patrón pizza.
When some folks think about a really great pizza, they are imagining a wonderful cheesy feast. Great cheese is the cornerstone of great pizza making. At Pizza Patrón we use only 100% real cheese. Our cheese is made from grade A cow’s milk. It is low moisture, whole milk Mozzarella cheese delivered fresh to our stores.
We feather shred our cheese and heap it onto every one of our delicious pizzas. Our goal is to make every pizza have the same great appearance and flavor every time. Whether you like to have cheese on your pizza or are crazy about cheese pizzas at Pizza Patrón, we've got you covered.

The Pizza Patrón concept is highly focused and is not right for just any location. Finding the ideal site for your restaurant is vitally important to the development and success of the Pizza Patrón brand.
We can assist you in a number of ways. After your development area is determined, we can provide you with accurate and complete information on any location within that area. This information includes specific demographic data detailing population density, ethnicity and much more.
Design and Construction
After site approval, the next phase of opening your own Pizza Patrón store begins. Design and construction are very important steps along the way. We can assist an architect of your choice, or you can purchase that service from one we have trained. We have also negotiated a fee for this service that is about half the industry standard for the benefit of our brand partners.
We will also provide you with a list of all fixtures, equipment and supplies necessary to open your store. We have group pricing available to our Pizza Patrón family for these items.

It is not necessary to have food service experience in order
to succeed. The right person utilizing our comprehensive training
program and “operator-friendly” concept has all the tools needed to
develop and maintain a flourishing business.
We have both single- and multi-store development agreements available. The initial investment for one Pizza Patrón location ranges from $122,800 to $176,050. This includes everything needed to get started. Included in this fee range is the franchise and development fee of $20,000. This fee declines with subsequent locations. Additionally there is an ongoing royalty fee of 5% of gross sales and a mandatory advertising requirement of 2%.
Third-party financing is available to open your own Pizza Patrón location. Most lenders require 25-30% of the total project as a down payment. The government SBA program participates with Pizza Patrón and we are on the SBA registry.Our ideal franchise candidate is a highly motivated individual with a desire to sell great pizza and serve their community.
