Overview
There's very little
in life that can be as rewarding as starting a Seniors Helping
Seniors® center in your area. The joy of bringing people together...of
providing services that are truly needed and adding support
and love to the lives of others...all really fulfills the definition
of a rewarding life. This is truly The Power of Love™ — the gifts we give come back to us in multiples by bringing
us joy, peace, happiness and fulfillment in ways we could never
imagine — it is truly "a way to give and

Seniors Helping Seniors
we match seniors who want to provide services with seniors who are
looking for help. And what we find is that these relationships are
always mutual. It doesn't really matter who is the helper and who is
being helped. Who is getting paid and who is paying. How we respond
with respect, understanding and assistance is really what matters. Why not Love?®
asks us to bring the best part of ourselves to each relationship,
responding with love, nurturing that love and promoting our
relationships through that love. And the result is The Power of Love™
— the gifts we receive from living our lives with love as our guiding
principle. Gifts of joy, peace, happiness and fulfillment — all of
which helps us grow in strength and kindness just a little bit more
every day.
Seniors Helping Seniors was co-founded by Kiran and Philip Yocom to provide seniors with the ability to choose an independent lifestyle in their own homes, for as long as possible, with the dignity and respect they deserve by finding caring seniors to help each other.
Seniors Helping Seniors was created from Kiran's personal mission to care for those who are unable to care for themselves. Before coming to the United States from India, Kiran worked with Mother Teresa for 14 years. Currently, Kiran serves as our organization's Executive Director, and Philip as the President of our Board of Directors.

Why Seniors Helping Seniors?
From starting Seniors Helping Seniors in-home
services in 1998 as a vision and a dream, and now as an everyday
reality, we know that it is possible to do good, provide outstanding
service and also be financially rewarded for our work.
Seniors Helping Seniors will grow steadily within
the next couple of years. With the significant increase in the
60+ population projected to 18-25% of the population by 2010,
the organization will be able to provide many more hours of
service to those in need and recruit many more people who gain
joy and additional income from delivering these services.Are You a Good Fit for Seniors Helping Seniors?
Since
1998, we have grown from our first match to working with
hundreds of helpers and clients. We've continued to expand
our geography from Reading to the surrounding counties.
We've expanded the training for our helpers. And we've
grown the kinds of services we offer in response to the
needs of our clients.
We plan to grow even more. We're beginning to open Seniors
Helping Seniors Centers in different parts of
the area and to license them.
