The Alternative Board® (TAB) franchise is an exciting opportunity for corporate executives, consultants and entrepreneurs to utilize their business experience and expertise to help owners of local, privately held businesses achieve their vision of success.
As a TAB-Certified Facilitator and Coach, franchisees lead monthly peer advisory board meetings where members present issues they’re facing in their business. Based on the collective experience of the board, members receive real-world, practical advice on how to solve challenges and seize new opportunities. TAB franchisees also provide business coaching to individual members and their companies using proprietary tools and processes. The Alternative Board® provides comprehensive training and extensive support to help franchise owners launch and grow a successful business.

Products & Services
TAB Business Vantage® is a web-based, 360-degree business operations assessment comprised of more than 300 questions about your member’s or client’s business. This assessment tool will illustrate where a business is focusing its resources and energy versus where the management believes they should be focused. It can also compare the answers of each member of the management team for that company. In addition, the tool allows you to benchmark the assessed business against all other TAB Board member companies and all others in the same type of business. TAB Business Vantage® is a great tool to use for private coaching sessions, TAB Board meetings and additional consulting opportunities. Strategic Business Leadership® (SBL) is an easy-to-use, personal and business electronic planning process developed to meet the needs of the time-constrained business owner. By helping owners lead their companies strategically, instead of by the “idea of the week,” SBL enables owners to achieve their personal and business visions of success. The SBL process will transfer the planning information from the minds of the business owner and his or her top management to a manageable, written plan that will form the style and direction for leading a company to greater success. SBL is a strategic method of leading a business that works for small and medium-sized companies to produce optimum results in a realistic time frame.
Training & Support
Training is held at corporate headquarters in Colorado. New Franchisees will spend 6 days learning all that they need to know about forming TAB Boards, the TAB marketing and sales process, facilitation and private coaching, and delivering on TAB's mission to help business owners achieve their vision of success.
After initial training, a TAB Membership Developer (TMD) will be in territory, for up to four weeks, for one-on-one training with the Franchisee. Additionally, a TAB Designee will attend and review one of their first TAB Board Meetings in the first three months for on-site training. An experienced TAB-Certified Facilitator & Coach will provide monthly telephone coaching sessions starting after Initial Training for new Franchisees to reinforce the skills learned at training and to answer the ‘How do I’ questions.
