Overview
So you want to be a Purveyor of the Pita? Well,
you've come to the right place. You can rest easy knowing this is a
business with staying power. In fact, next year, Extreme Pita
celebrates 10 years of the "power of the pita!"
It's all about the bread! We roll it, we eat it, we earn it.
And we're successful at it. We've got nearly 200 locations throughout Canada and the U.S. with continuous strong growth. Moreover, the National Restaurant Association projected sales of $134.2 billion in the Quick Service Restaurant category. (This according to the 2005 Restaurant Industry Forecast).

Here's the cool part - we can customize every rolled pita to suit the individual tastes of health conscious customers like you. Lunch, dinner and late night menu items include our Extreme Club, Philly Cheese Steak, Beef Bistro, Grilled Chicken, Gyros, and Falafel, all combined with a choice of different vegetable varieties served fresh or sautéed to perfection right in front of your eyes. We also offer a variety of great tasting flat baked pita's, fresh salads, soups, and drinks.

Training & Support
We provide an extensive training program for all franchisees to ensure
that when your store opens you are comfortable and experienced in all
aspects of running a successful business. Our "Pita Pro In the Making"
program provides you with 10 days at our headquarters in Toronto,
Ontario, Canada, followed by another 2 weeks of in-store hands-on
training. During the training we teach you what it takes to operate an
efficient and successful Extreme Pita. The Training program involves
both classroom and in-store training from experienced corporate
trainers that have previously operated successful Extreme Pita
franchises. During this period we will train you in everything from
rolling the pita, scheduling and ordering, customer service, management
control systems to the training of your new staff.
Support in Your Store In addition our trainers will come to your store during the first week of business to help you prepare for your grand opening. They will assist in implementing marketing tools to get your name out in the community, they will help you and your employees get comfortable with daily operations, as well as behind the scenes help with scheduling, ordering, and training. The support doesn't end there, each restaurant is assigned a business development consultant to provide on-going continuous support in every facet of your business.
Communication We also want the lines of communication to be as open as possible between fellow franchisees. What better way to learn and grow then by sharing our experiences with one and other. That is why in our "Hot Off the Pita Press" newsletter there is a specific column strictly for franchisees to add their comments and express their views. Further ongoing support is provided via regular store visits, operational memos that discuss updates and the implementation of best practices among operations and advertising, etc.

Are You a Good Fit for The Extreme Pita?
While small business experience is helpful, it is not required.
You will receive step-by-step training at Extreme Pita headquarters in
Toronto in the important aspects of operating your business, including
operational, marketing, nutritional and customer service classes. You
also receive hands-on training behind the service counter and in the
food preparation area. The desire and effort of the Franchisee is more
important than restaurant, business or retailing experience.
You are required to run your store or have an individual with 25% equity ownership run our store. It is our experience that most successful stores are those operated by the owner(s) or a seasoned retail manager.
