Overview
Cell phones are everywhere.
Does that mean the opportunity is past? Quite the contrary. Do people still buy televisions? Do they pay for content? Yes, more than ever before. Truth is, Americans have become more accustomed to immediate gratification, and are willing to pay for it. We predict wireless technology will continue to play a greater role in the average American's everyday life. You are already seeing major banks offer banking through cell phones, and that's just the beginning. We believe there has never been a better time to be in the wireless retail business. In fact, we've been building the infrastructure of our company for the last 19 years in preparation for this moment in time, and the growth we anticipate in the near future will be exponential.
One thing is certain. Life is never dull in wireless, and with all the inevitable changes in technology, it promises to be even more exciting and move at an even faster clip. However, unless you have people around who have been there and done that, you might not understand either the limitations of wireless or the opportunities. With almost 20 years of experience, no other wireless franchisor possesses the insights and knowledge as Wireless Zone. With that said, we invite you to take a look to see if we are the right fit for your future business.

Products & Services
A Little Wireless Zone History
1988 Russ Weldon created what he then called “The Car Phone Store.” He envisioned a retail store solely dedicated to wireless communications products and services, and he made it happen.
At that time, few people knew what cellular was all about and a stand-alone wireless store was truly a unique idea. People were used to finding out about cellular at one of those huge, mega electronics stores that also sold stereos, air conditioners and microwaves…not exactly the easiest and most informative way to buy cellular.
We changed our name to Wireless Zone® in 1999 in order to convey more clearly the products that we sold then and still sell today. “Mobile phones became portable phones and are now portable data devices,” said Kevin Sinclair, President & COO of Wireless Zone. Our name changed with the evolution of the products and services.
“Today, the vision Russ had, has become a reality,” Sinclair added. Wireless Zone is the largest independent cellular agent in the country, with over 260 locations from Maine to Virginia, the Midwest States, and Florida.
We sell the total cellular solution and specialize in the sale of Verizon Wireless Voice and Data Services. Whether its Music on Demand, EVDO Video Services, Vehicle Navigation, SMS Messaging, EasyPay Service, or the products and accessories you need to access these services, Wireless Zone’s independent franchise owners are in a town near you ready to service your needs.
From our first store in Wethersfield, Connecticut to our newest store in Florida, Wireless Zone has changed with the times to meet the needs of our over 2,500,000 customers.

Why Wireless Zone?
- Low Risk - The U.S. Commerce Department estimates that 95% of franchises succeed; only 25-35% of independent businesses succeed. Why the difference? Since a franchise is usually a duplicate of an already successful business, it has a better liklihood to succeed.
- Quicker Startup / Higher Sales / Higher Profit / Increased Equity - When a person buys a franchise he's getting start-up support and he's buying the "learning curve." As an alternative, if he were to start a similar independent business it would likely take longer to achieve the sales volume associated with buying a franchise. The trial and error stages have already been done by the franchisor and as a result, it is possible to build profits and business equity faster.
- Be One's Own Boss - Franchising allows an individual to feel the pride and independence of owning his own business.
- Training - The training an individual receives in a franchise should help her avoid mistakes and generate more volume and profits. Support / Ongoing Assistance - Ongoing support gives a franchise owner quick access to the franchisor's resources help solve problems and a feeling of not being alone.
- Collective Buying Power - Collective buying power can potentially help reduce costs of doing business.
- Regional/National Marketing - A chain of operating units can afford to generate far more exposure and advertising than can an independently owned business which may lead to higher sales volume.
- System/Policies/Procedures Already Tested And Established - Tested and proven systems save development time and help prevent mistakes.
- Trademarks - Customer awareness of the franchise name is a tremendous benefit.
- A Team Approach - The success of the franchise owner is in the best interest of the franchisor.
