Yes — FranchiseGenius.com is free to use for franchise research. Browse 5,000+ franchise listings and access detailed franchise information at no cost. A Document Processing Fee applies when downloading Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDDs).

How do I request more information from a franchise?

Click the “Request More Info” button on any franchise listing or detail page. You can add multiple franchises to your request list and submit one form for all of them at once — no need to fill out your contact information multiple times.

What is a Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD)?

A Franchise Disclosure Document is a legally mandated document that franchisors must provide to prospective franchisees before any sale. It contains 23 key items covering the franchisor’s background, fees, obligations, financial performance, and more. It is one of the most important documents to review when researching a franchise opportunity.

Does FranchiseGenius.com sell franchises?

No. FranchiseGenius.com is a research and information resource only. We do not sell franchises, represent franchisors, or act as franchise brokers or consultants. Our focus is research — giving you the information and documents you need to make an informed decision. All franchise purchases are made directly between you and the franchisor.

FDD Documents

How will I receive my FDD after purchase?

Once your payment is processed, you will receive an email with a secure download link. You can also download the document immediately from the confirmation page. Download links are valid for 72 hours and allow up to 3 downloads — please save your document promptly.

What is the Document Processing Fee?

FranchiseGenius.com charges an FDD Document Processing Fee which covers our costs of acquiring, storing, organizing, and digitally delivering the document. It is not a payment for ownership of the document itself. FDDs are legally mandated disclosure documents filed by franchisors.

What if I can’t download or open my FDD?

Please contact us via our Contact Us page and we will promptly resolve any download issues. If your download link has expired, we can issue a new one.

What is your refund policy for FDDs?

We do not provide refunds once a document has been purchased and received. However, refunds may be offered if the document could not be delivered due to a technical failure on our part, or the document delivered is materially different from its description on our site. Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of purchase via our Contact Us page.

How is my payment information protected?

We do not collect or store your credit card information. All payment transactions are processed directly by Stripe and/or PayPal using industry-leading security and encryption. When you enter your payment details, you are connected directly to these PCI-compliant processors.

Can I share my downloaded FDD with others?

FDDs are provided for your personal research use only. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for details on permitted use.
